Lasalocid, like other carboxylic polyether ionophores, disturbs ionic homeostasis, leading to osmotic lysis of coccidia. Lasalocid influences the transport of both monovalent & divalent cations across membranes by disturbing numerous parasitic ion pumps and thus kills the coccidian forms disrupting the osmotic balance.
- Excellent control of E. tenella, E. maxima & superior control on other coccidia species
- Compatible with other anticoccidials in shuttle and rotation programs
- Helps protect birds from enteritis and proliferation of the secondary pathogens like C. perfringens & E. coli
- Wide safety margin with minimal coccidial resistance & cross-resistance
Contraindication: Avoid concurrent administration of Lasalocid With Tiamulin & Chloramphenicol.
Safety: Very well tolerated, nontoxic in poultry & ruminants. Ideal for pellet feed.
Withdrawal Period: Zero withdrawal (3 days prior to slaughter as per MRLs compliance).
